Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. As well as BJJ classes, she also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. In the age of 18, Ladd made her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd then went on to take down three opponents consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents were finished within the first minute. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen has already beaten Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen, and beat her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's record as an amateur was affected. Ladd bounced back from defeat in the final by beating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in the year 2015, when she signed as a player with Invicta FC. Invicta Fc 11 she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the one round with a TKO.
